บันทึกการติดตั้ง openSUSE 11.1 สำหรับ PPC

ก็ เพิ่งจะว่างได้นั่งติดมันวันนี้ล่ะครับ ช้าไปหน่อยแต่มะมีปัญหา ก็ อันนี้เป็นบันทึกรักส่วนตัวในการขี่กิ้งก่าเขียวนะครับ ก็เป็นขั้นตอนต่างๆที่ต้องทำ หรือควรทำในการติดตั้ง กิ้งก่า 11.1 ลงในฮาร์ดแวร์ที่ไม่ค่อยมีใครใช้กัน

ข้อมูลเบื้องต้น

ซอฟต์แวร์ เป็น openSUSE 11.1 DVD เวอร์ชั่น PPC
ฮาร์ดแวร์เป็น Apple iBook G4 1.2GHz 12นิ้ว

ขั้นตอน เรียงตามลำดับขั้นที่ผมทำเลยนะครับ

บูตเครื่องขึ้นมา หลังจากใส่ DVD ลงไปแล้ว กด c ค้างไว้ เพื่อให้มันบูต CD (อันนี้โหดมาก ถ้าเป็น ubuntu ในตัว Boot loader จะมีให้เลือก ว่าเข้า Linux หรือ Boot CD แต่อันนี้ไม่เป็นปัญหา)
เลือกภาษาไทย อันนี้เป็นประสพการณ์แปลกๆ ถ้าอยู่คนเดียวคงว่าผีหลอกไปล้ว คือตอนที่เลือกติดตั้งเป็นภาษาอังกฤษ มันติดตั้งไม่ผ่าน ตัว YaST จะบอกว่า ไม่เจอ CD-Rom (อาการเดียวกะ Ubuntu 8.10) แต่ถ้าเลือกภาษาไทยก่อน เหมือนว่ามันจะสแกนหา CD ไปก่อนแล้ว ก่อนที่ YaST จะถูกเรียกขึ้นมาทำงาน ทำให้มันรู้จักกัน (อันนี้เดาเองมั่วๆนะครับ เอาว่า ถ้าเลือกไทยแล้วมันติดผ่านล่ะ)
ที่เหลือก็ตั้งค่าการติดตั้งตามปกติไป
ติดเสร็จบูตขึ้นมา ขั้นแรกผมตั้งชื่อเครื่องก่อนเลย มันชอบตั้งชื่อเห่ยๆมาให้ ก็ เรียก YaST เข้าไปที่ ตั้งค่าเครือข่าย ไป Tab ชื่อเครื่อง แก้ซะตามสะดวก
ตั้งค่า Network ให้รับ DHCP เข้าไปที่ YaST > ตั้งค่าเครือข่าย เลือก Interface ที่ต้องการ แล้วตั้งค่าให้รับ IP จาก DHCP (จำได้ว่าตอนติด 11.0 ไม่เห็นต้องตั้งค่าเลย หรือเกี่ยวกับตอนที่ผมติด 11.1 นี่ผมไม่ได้เสียบแลนตอนติดตั้งหว่า)
แก้ปัญหา wireless ของ broadcom สั่ง sudo /usr/sbin/install_bcm43xx_firmware (ขั้นตอนนี้เสียเวลานานมาก เพราะตอนจะสั่งต้องต่อเน็ตไว้ก่อน แล้วไม่มีสายแลน ไปนั่งเข้าหัวอยู่เกือบชั่วโมง)
ปิด Beagle ซะ เพราะมันเป็นตัวที่ชอบทำ CPU ร้องดัง สั่ง beagle-settings แล้วก็ ปิดๆ (แต่ถ้าใครใช้ก็เปิดไปครับ)

จริงๆแล้วยังมีปัญหาที่ผมยังไม่ได้แกอีก คือ เสียงไม่ออก ตัว Network applet ใน System tray ไม่ขึ้น, แก้ Wireless แล้ว แต่ ifconfig ดู ก็ยังไม่เจอ ก็ คิดว่าผมคงหยดเท่านี้แล้วถอยหลังกลับไปเป็น 11.0 ดีฝ่า เครื่อง PPC คงมาได้เท่านี้แล้ว ฮื๊ออออ....

NetworkManager-gnome ลองเรียกคำสั่ง nm-applet ดูครับ

อันนี้หมายถึงว่ามันไม่เห็นอินเทอร์เฟซของไวร์เลสเลยเหรอครับ ?
เดามั่ว ๆ นะครับ ลองสั่ง modprobe bcm43xx ดูครับ :p

ส่วนเสียงนี่ อันนี้ไม่รู้แฮะ ชิปเสียงอะไรอ่ะครับ
